I’ve been going to Prairie Cafe all my life. Honestly, I have no idea why I keep coming back. They have really good food, eggs were delicious. Although the service killed me. I was there with my friend one day, we had forty five minutes to eat before she had to go. At the cafe only three other groups of people were there who hadn’t gotten their food. We ended up waiting forty five minutes for one dish of eggs, potatoes, and a bagel. The food was yummy, but I didn’t have the best time, mostly because my friend checked her watch every two seconds. Have better service and I’ll go back.

Horridly overpriced, poor selection. My husband and I stopped in to the Prairie Cafe and Bakery on a Sunday morning to meet with family. In short, if my family had not already ordered and were waiting for their food, we would have left. My husband and I spent $8 getting two bagels with cream cheese and a juice to share. It shouldn’t take that long to toast a bagel but we waited over 10 minutes for our bagels to even arrive. We would have loved to try something else, but since the cafe only accepts cash and checks, we were out of luck with the mere $10 that we had. A breakfast sandwich alone is over $5.Additionally, since they only accept cash and checks, the line grew very long as they repeatedly had to verify each person’s check. Overall it was a terrible dining experience.

I love this place! The quiche of the day is always excellent. I also love their health shake. We like to stop here for breakfast after a power walk through nearby Pheasant Branch Conservency.
