This place is great. All american sports bar. Superb burgers, awesome fries, great tap beer selection and great prices. You can’t go wrong. A nice change of pace from the usual Madisonian hoity toity fare you usually find on the west side.
Nice for a quick stop. I had the grilled fish tacos, steamed veggies and broccoli/cheese soup. I got a ton of food. It was a perfect lunch. Very friendly waitress. I will definitely go back.
I don’t know what’s worse- their service or their chicken lips.
The food is kind of slop and the seating is really weird, no thanks. There are so many better options; I don’t think we’ll be back.
Too many huge tables & chairs…weird set up. Good price on Fat Tire pitchers.
Good for an after work beer.. I went there after work with a friend. We had a few beers at the bar and everyone was super nice. A very chill place to hang out and talk. Not very busy, but it is new to the area.
Good for sports, middling for the rest. I’ll start by saying that professional sports hold very little interest for me, though I don’t condemn Tanner’s for playing to that demographic. In fact, they array of screens was impressive for offering enough options for your favorite verison of ESPN.However, the food is really just there as a way to keep game fans at the tables. Most of my dining group commented on the saltiness of our food, though as Mom of Teens pointed out it was not swimming in grease. My burger had a bit more of a char taste than I expected with medium doneness on the meat, but the toppings were of decent freshness and the inside of the burger was still showing juiciness.Drinks were served in flexible plastic semiclear cups that seemed to be more for the ease of tossing things into a cleaning sink than anything else. To try and see how well they played on range for appetizers, we tried the spinach and artichoke dip… it seemed to me to be the wrong consistency for the chips they served it with, but didn’t taste terrible. It just didn’t taste good either.I’m unlikely to ever go back because the food was nothing good enough to make me risk getting surrounded by rowdy sports fans. But if you just need to eat, or want a large number of TVs to watch, then this may be the place for you.
