Disappointed. First impression,typical small town bar and grill,friendly staff.2nd impression: we were seated in a side room with light provided by large harsh fluorescent light.3rd impression: because of the lighting it was hard not to notice a stain extending from ceiling to a light fixture .4th impression: we ordered a burger,fish,2 chicken sandwiches and a Bocca bean burger,cheese curds and onion rings . The last to items were the high point of the meal and they were so/so.5th impression: burger and fish were both over cooked,the rest of the sandwiches had that rubbery microwave feel and taste. Several of the buns seemed old as well as the toppings.This was a Friday night @7 Not exactly off hours.
Nice Place. Monte’s is across the street from the hotel I was staying at for Epic training and I found it to be a nice locals place. I think that regardless of who you are, at Monte’s you are local. The menu is typical for a small neighborhood pub and one can see the attention put into each dish. I’ve not had much, aside from the Monte Burger which was tasty, but I will try and see if I can sample lots more. For me this place is great because of the beer selection. Way too many places like this serve up the usual Big Brewer swill, but not Monte’s, they set aside each tap for the plethora of local craft brews. Fantastic!

Good place for game days! Good drink deals, good food, good staff.
Staying at Holiday Inn Express and wanting something close? Give this place a try. After being in town for Epic training for about 2 weeks total and trying at least a dozen different restaurants, this place is near the top of our group’s list. The staff is great, drinks are good, and surpisingly, the food is also really good. Burgers to chicken quesadillas were all very good.
