Pretty good. We have been there a couple times in the past after an Admirals game, or before a Bucks game. The food used to be just ok. We tried it again tonight since they opened up again recently. I had the beer battered fish fry, my wife had the BBQ chicken flatbread, and my sister had the Chicken Caesar salad. We were all pretty impressed that the food flavor has improved tremendously. I also loved the ambiance at Turner. I think if they figure out a way to make their waitstaff a little more professional, they will have a great thing going soon. Give it a little time. Glad to have another great place to go eat downtown again.
Not impressed at all! First table we were sat at was seriously soo unlevel i had to drink some of my ice tea before I could set it down… The first time I set it down it spilled. We went as a double date, (3) fish frys ,not impressed at all, the corner tavern with a deep fryer was about the same quality and half the price. The potato pancakes we were served were cooler then the the plate they were seved on. I personally had the half chicken. I recomend walmart roasted chickens. You can recieve a full chicken with an increased savory taste. It was my wife’s idea to order BBQ sauce to remedy the sandpaper like texture. The wait staff at Denny’s is more pleasant, expedient and though are normally rejected by most restaurants yet still have a better memory then the server for our table. Overall, it was a better value that we paid $30 to park then the service and food we had. Total bill for 4 of us was $119.85. (2) appitisers (4) entrees (4) non alcoholic beverages.
Revival!. I stopped by a few times this month before games or concerts and am really pleased with what I saw/recieved. The food was pretty good, not your typical bar scene. The drinks are moderately priced for the area, I mean be honest, you’re down town so you shouldn’t expect dirt cheap.Staff was friendly, but plan ahead, it is right across the street from the Bradley Center and if there is an event there or upstairs in the ballroom, the place can get packed and nobody can expect to get in and out that quickly. We only had one issue, but when I mentioned it to the manager, he quickly resolved the drink mix up. Seriously try the fish fry, better than the last incarnation of the place and great portion size. Two thumbs!!
Embarrassingly Bad Experience and Meal. I used to go to Turner’s before most sporting events at the BC because it was quick and delicious. With that said, I could not be more disappointed with this latest twist on the restaurant. For starters, our group of 5 arrived an hour and a half before tip off and made this aware to the staff. We didn’t get our first drinks for 20 minutes. Our wings rolled out 20 minutes after that and then our food finally hit the table at 7:20 (Ten minutes before game time). Once the food arrived it was nasty! My burger was practically inedible and dripping with grease and looked to be a premade patty. I will never go back to this restaurant and I highly encourage you to save your money and go to another of the dozen plus sports bars in the area. Two Thumbs Way Down!
Loved it when it was still open… A loss to Milwaukee diners for sure!
Best side salad i’ve ever had. And a great fish fry. This historic building is quite interesting and a popular place on a Friday night for the traditional Milwaukee Fish Fry. The fish fry is fantastic–all it should be. And I had the best side salad ever at Turner Hall–it came without its dressing and so I started to eat it. The dressing came a minute or two later but it was too late, the salad alone, undressed, was so fantastic that I could not bear to spoil it with dressing. Great meal!
