It was perfect! Obviously a good location. The decor was adorably rustic with the Latin vibe and they have this trio of sauces that they bring out that I love. The orange salsa (wish I knew the name) is amazing; it has some kick to it. Also, they have cranberry juice available as a soft drink without an upcharge which I personally appreciate.The menu has less options than you’d expect, but all of the essentials are there and they are great & they come in generous portions. If you’re not sure what to get, you can’t go wrong with the pollo nachos. *good service and I went on a busy Friday night. 🙂
Favorite taco place! Corn and Black Bean tacos are top notch and I have never been disappointed in the food or service…or tequila for that matter. Fun atmosphere and ya gotta love Taco Tues/Thurs deals!
Never going back. 0 friends3 reviewsMonica P.Milwaukee, WI3/11/2015My last 2 visits here were horrible…the first time we went for $2 taco night we had to wait the usual 90 minutes (which happens every time) only to find out they were out of margaritas. I wish they told us before we waited all that time! So waters and less than mediocre tacos for the night ended up being a disappointing experience. I just went last night (on $2 taco night) to give them a second chance. The wait ended up being 2 1/2 hours! We were starving! I decided to order my favorite fajitas against the deal knowing it’s what I usually love. It was overcooked and made differently than usual. They tried to argue with me that it was the same recipe as always and I must be mistaken. We were still charged full price for a dinner that I took less than one bite out of still leaving hungry. Overall: long wait. Inconsistent food. And still a huge bill. -Leaving with a sour taste in my mouth a second time, I’ll never go back. Henry’s right around the corner has $1.50 night tacos that same night. I’d rather save my time, money, and just go there!
It’s hit or miss, sometimes great food and other times is served cold and bland.
Not good. All my tacos were much too sweet. They all had a fruit slaw ,mango salsa or corn salsa that ruined any spice that was on the taco. I ordered the habanero pork which wasn’t hot spicy or warm in temp and too sweet. The jerk chicken which also wasn’t spicy or warm and too sweet and the spicy shrimp which had no flavor to the shrimp and looked just like frozen boiled shrimp that tasted fishy and was cold and too sweet. The decor Is really nice, but going there now it was very cold inside. I mentioned that I was freezing to the hostess but she didn’t seem to care or take note or want to tell anyone about it. They had all of their fans on above as if it was summer and it’s 35 degrees outside. I would not go back even though they seem to have good weekly specials.
The service last night was horrible. The drinks were very average – not at all what we were expecting with all the great reviews we read.
Great restaurant! The mayor even said that the owner killed the bull that is displayed at the bar. Really cool!
