I love this place! I’ve been to a few places around Madison for sushi and TSE is my favorite. The wait is a little long but the staff is friendly and the sushi is excellent.
Not impressed. I suppose I shouldn’t expect much from any place with ‘Express’ in the name, but I wasn’t really impressed with this place. I ordered 2 salmon rolls and a miso soup. The soup was ready right away, the sushi was ready probably about 10 minutes later. The miso soup… was a terrible disappointment. The tofu, it if could even be called that, had a terribly dry and spongy texture. It looked more like old bread cubes. The soup was was way too hot. The sushi was decent enough for an express location, but was nothing to write home about. After the disappointment that was the soup the sushi was not enough to make me want to come back.
