A great place!. We stopped in after we had been given several recommendations. The food was fantastic, the service was exceptional and the chef/owner was very accommodating.. Cafe Madrid is now one of our favorite places to go on a our Date Night or with friends. Her seafood paella was the best we have ever had.
Don’t Waste Your Time. Everything, from the menus to the plates, was dirty. Although the menu descriptions made the food sound appealing, it was prepared and presented with little effort and had almost no flavor. We could hear the neighboring table complaining as we were eating our food. In the end, we ending up stopping at A&W on the way home. We don’t even like A&W. Overall, we were disappointed with the experience because we were looking forward to having a good tapas restaurant in the area.
Cafe Madrid. The Lavender Steak was to die for. A new flavor for me.The Chicken on the Caprese Salad was cooked devine. The accompanying greens were so/so.The Scallops (3) melted in your mouth. Note Cooked in a rich chardonnay vinaigrette sauce.Prices reasonable. I’d go there again.
Went there for dinner. The calamari was bland. Also, we had the prosciutto asparagus. The asparagus was good, but the prosciutto was fatty. However, the garlic shrimp was rotten and tastes like ammonia. It’s too bad, as this is a cute cafe. We will not be back.
Don’t go, service not the best, had a reservation but the person greeting us did’nt bother to ask our name, just said we’re not busy where so you want to sit.
Hidden Gem. A hidden gem on Broadway! Top notch ethnic food at reasonable prices. It was 630pm on 12/27/13 and I wanted to take my girlfriend somewhere special, so I called Plae Bistro and they informed me of an hour wait to get a table, uhg. Then I remembered a friend telling me about the new restaurant on Broadway called Cafe Madrid. We called and they said there was one or two open tables so we left immediately and were seated upon arrival. We decided to share the grilled shrimp plate for an appetizer and it was cooked to perfection! Then I was brought my entree which was seafood paella and she had a salmon plate. We shared a little of each others food and were both very impressed with the fresh taste of the seafood, stylish plating and atmosphere too. The dinner ended with a yummy and light fresh berry and champagne dessert. We ate a total of 3 courses (appetizer and dessert shared) for under $25 per person, before tip. The owner had time to come out and thank us and ask for comments too. The only mistake was the plating of the dessert which came out in a plastic cup but it was noticed quickly and easily corrected. I could not have been happier with my overall experience, very impressed.
Exciting new restaurant serves tapas from Spain. The mussels are amazing… so is the chorizo pasta. lots of local beer
