Nope! Never going back! I ordered for carry out. I told her I would pick it up at noon. She told me it would be ready in 20 mins, it was 10:45 am! So I asked again if she could have it done around noon instead and she said, Fine. Then when I arrived to pick up my order, the waitress came & went over and over & never even acknowledged me standing there! Finally I walked back to the sushi bar and she greeted me as if It was the first time she saw me! I indicated I was waiting up front and she said, Oh. Koko sushi is waaaay better in food & service!!
Good Sushi and Good Service.. I ordered the Alaska Roll and the Fantasy Roll. Great presentation, good freshness and good selection. I was expecting the spicy mayo to be something besides wasabi mayo (maybe I was thinking spcy garlic mayo) but the roll was still excellent. If you like sushi I would recommend you give it a try.
Oh no. If you have any experience at all eating sushi or have exposure to good Asian cuisine, unfortunately Little Tokyo falls short on counts of flavor, freshness, and authenticity. The roe bowl came out with quite a bit of mayonnaise, the rice in the roe bowl was not crisped up and the bowl was not too hot to touch which it really should be. The yakitori was sickly sweet, the sushi rice was not properly seasoned. I was hoping for much more. It does not come close to Nakashima and pales in comparison to Koreana which is the best sushi the Midwest thus far has to offer. I am from Hawaii and have grown up eating ahi caught the same day. I don’t expect that type of flavor given Wisconsin does not have access to large deep oceanic game however, this restaurant is sub par to the other offerings for sushi. The price point however is very reasonable and this may be part of the reason the quality suffers.
