Delicious! I have been to a number of authentic Indian restaurants and this was easily the best. We went for the lunch buffet and they had a wonderful assortment of chutneys, cuuries, and desserts, and as much fresh naan as we wanted. Everything was amazing! And the buffet price was unbeatable–for all you families, children under 5 eat free and kids under 10 are half price. We’ll be back!
YUM, YUM!. This was my first time at an Indian Cuisine restaurant and I was so pleasantly surprised! Unlike most buffets in town, EVERYTHING here was delicious and each dish had it’s own individual flavors. The smell welcomes you as soon as you open the door. We will return to India Darbar quite often, I predict 🙂 Thank you for a most awesome induction to Indian Cuisine!
Oh my goodness! Great food, great service!. So, we were in Appleton for shopping, from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We had been planning on going to Koreana, as you can’t get ethnic anything where we live and I have awful cravings for korean food. BUT, they were closed, and I cried, and we went to Darbar instead.Best thing that could have happened, ever!I have nothing but good to say about this place. The atmosphere was nice with quick service. There was one tv in the corner playing cute Indian music videos, which were romantic and sweet. The atmosphere isn’t fancy, but not too casual- I would feel comfortable wearing anything to this restaurant. Good wine list with excellent prices. I had a zin and my sweetie had an excellent masala tea.We had two types of pappadum (complimentary) while we waited for our food. They were perfect.I had chicken tikka saag and he had a potato spinach dish. We both ordered it medium spicy which was a little hot but not nearly so much that you couldn’t taste it. It was AMAZING. We also had garlic naan; awesome. The portions were larger than I’m used to at an Indian restaurant ,including the rice. They have a very large vegetarian section on the menu.We were ecstatically happy with the food, and, they have a grocery right next door so I could buy ingredients to tide us over until we can come again! Overall very pleased, and we will be coming here again even though we live almost four hours away.
Go here now!. This place is really excellent. Best biryani I’ve had in a very long time, and really reasonably priced. Passably good wine, and lots of Indian beer. Made my business trip to Appleton much better than expected.
Amazing place!. India Darbar of Appleton is great! Outstanding food, service, and price! Their Butter chicken is AHHHHHmazing! (oh and garlic naan..duh!) 🙂 I will be going back. Like, tomorrow…cannot wait to eat there again.
This is my favorite. You can’t go wrong here, Excellent Service, Great Food, Well Lit (not dark and spookey)Excellent Staff and Most Importantly , Very Clean. I give this place 5.5 stars out of 5 you cant go wrong coming here for Lunch!
Great food, Great service!. My sister and I agree that Darbar wins, hands down, for the best Indian restaurant in Appleton. The decor is light and inviting. The staff is very friendly, efficient, and accomodating. The service here is truely superb. We usually go to the lunch buffet so that we can sample a variety of dishes. I haven’t had a dish here that I didn’t like. When I’m in the mood for Indian, this is where I would choose to go, every time!
