Ripped off. Used to go there for years, but lately the quality is sliding. Had a premium higher alcohol beer on the patio, and so expected it to be served in a snifter glass of about 10-12 ounces like most places. It arrived in a 7 ounce plastic cup which was not full, so for 6 ounces of beer I paid $6.25. That comes to a $12.50 bottle of beer!! In another restaurant a couple of weeks before, I got the same beer, but 16 oz for $4.00. Also the waitress was inefficient and crabby. I wrote to the restaurant about my experience since I’ve been going there for so long, but they ignored my email. That’s the last time they will get my business.
Corner Bar. Moose head on the wall is great! Golden tee game, darts and franziskaner on tap… what else can you ask for?!Nice atmosphere, chill place and looking forward to go back and try the food.
Boring Burger. My husband and I always wanted to stop at this charming looking spot in Hales Corners for years, so St Patricks Day we stopped in for a burger. The restaurant/bar is cozy. The waitress we had was efficient and pleasant. We started with green beers and fried ravioli with marinara. The ravioli arrived quickly and was hot and delicious. Good Start! Then the burgers arrived. They were cooked to the desired temps, but tasted like they were not seasoned at all. They came with tomato and lettuce upon request and the only other condiment available was catsup. A pickle spear was on the plate with a side of standard ho hum fries. It tasted like food that would appeal to old people. We really expected some flavor for the 7.99 ticket, but you aren’t going to get that with this burger. After reading other reviews we might stop in again and try something else, but it isn’t high on our priority list seeing that the burger was so bland.
Not impressed at all at this place. As a typical corner bar on Wisconsin it doesn’t understand customer service.bartender was ok. People smelled like smoke who work here. Employees are showing pictures from there cell phone and no sense of customer service.
Best place in the HC. I go once a week, sometimes two or three. I don’t know what the negative fish comment was about, because when I enjoyed Bosch’s Famous Fish Fry when I had it last week. They gave me 3 thick, juicy fillets of haddock that were full of flavor. Come hungry if you order the chicken nachos, I’m thinking about calling Food Network. If they every do a program about the top 10 places to get them, Bosch best be on the list. Really impressed with how attentive, respectful, and friendly the bar staff is. They are certainly what keeps it going. It can get cold in there since its an old building, but I’m usually content with a cardigan. Moving to Hales Corners from a big city, I was a little worried about the dining atmosphere, and for good reason, but atleast Bosch is here.
Liked it. I love their fish fry. We have been going there for years and no matter where else we go I still like Bosch’s the best. And you can also ask for a baked potato instead of fries with your fish fry.
Plain. Had the fish fry, it was nothing special. The fries seemed old and stale. The beer was the best part of the meal, it wasn’t worth the drive. Not bad, just nothing special.
