I was curious to try the cheesecake. First up, Oreo. I was pleasantly surprised at the moistness and texture of this flavor. Next up, Key Lime…..Wow…..this was so refreshing and light.. The graham crust could have been firmer, baked for a few minutes so it wouldn’t crumble. The portions were a bit small for the cost was my only drawback.
Gemma’s was wonderful.. Three of us had dinner at Gemma’s on a Saturday evening. The first thing to know about Gemma’s is that it has only 5 tables. There was only one in use upon our arrival at 5:00 pm. The second thing about Gemma’s is that the menu is limited. We ordered 2 appetizers, the eggplant and garlic bread. Both were very generous in quantity, much more than we expected. Two of us ordered chicken parmesan and one ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The chicken parmesan was tender enough to be cut using only a fork. The parmesan dinners included a big serving of spaghetti. All three dinners included a salad. For the price the meals were a great value. Two of us had cheescake for dessert and one had tiramisu. All were excellent. Gemma’s is also a bakery and I bought her entire supply of gingerbread hearts on the way out.
