This place was reported to me as being famous, but no one could say why. Went anyway. Main dining room (barroom) is unbearably loud; we sat in the small back room with a view of the river just beyond a truly unsightly parking lot. The service was excellent, the food just OK. My tablemate had a reasonably good Reuben sandwich; I had a barely acceptable salad with grilled chicken. The Reuben would have been greatly improved with a more prominent dose of sauerkraut. My salad needed less fru-fru-greens and more fundamental lettuce.
