Great place to watch the game while drinking a great bloody and munching on an amazing plate of smothered tots. Good service, and a great atmosphere for relaxing. Dig it.
Not much to say about this place. The food is very comparable to what you would be served at an apple bees or buffalo wild wings. Although, I will say the laddle shot from the bar was very creative.
Every time I’ve been here I’ve had an awesome experience. The food is always to delicious and the drinks are pretty much to die for. I had my very first Caramel Appleton here, and all I can say is YUM! It’s pretty much my favorite thing ever now.Their patio just opened recently, so they’re always packed, but I haven’t had any problems with bad service since I’ve been coming here. There was one time when the service was slow, but when I mentioned it to the manager as she was making her rounds, she gave us a free dessert for our troubles. Even though it was only a mild annoyance, at least they’re very concerned with their guest experience. Even the best restaurants have an occasional bad day, so I’m glad they do what’s necessary to fix their issues.
Highly recommended by a colleague. Three of us arrived around 6pm on a Wednesday. At about half capacity, although the patio was nearly full. We opted to be seated inside. Great view of the water, very open feel. Decor is rustic, warm and inviting. Has a Northwoods feel, or as both of my colleagues commented, the foothills of Denver. Nevertheless, comfortable. I learned this is still a new venue only having been open for a few months at the time of this visit. Menu is larger than I would expect, but still simple. Mostly burgers & chicken and a little comfort food. We shared an appetizer, a local favorite of Tater Tots with seasoned sour cream. Unique and simple and unfortunately not anything one could easily whip up at home. The Open Turkey Sandwich was enormous and very good. I had Rib/Chicken Platter. Unfortunately nothing special about it, but a very sizable portion of food which I could not even come close to finishing. I will say, the Sweet Potato Fries which I had as a side were noteworthy & excellent. Not exactly sure how many taps, but appeared to be a good selection peppered with a fair number of local beers. If you are passing through Hudson, WI, I recommend. Only family friendly place I know of that is reasonably priced and does not feel overwhelmingly like a bar.2nd Visit – sat at the bar since I was alone traveling for work. Bartender appeared to still be training, but interestingly enough was by herself. You can see where this review is going already. Every time I asked about something, she had to go and ask someone else. She certainly tried & I do not fault her. More annoying were the employees standing at the end of the bar on and off talking w/the manager. I had the pan fried walleye which was okay, just that, only okay. I had to cover with black pepper which I would never do to a better cooked piece of fish. Sweet Potato Fries were very good. A Cole Slaw option would have been nice.
Not good. My husband and I were there for lunch on Saturday and it took a long time to get service and it was about half full. We had to wait and wait to get our bill and pay for what was a below average meal. My husbands cheese burger was average and lacked seasoning. But it was my spring green salad that was downright inedible. First it was advertised as spring greens and it was all iceberg with 2 little spring leaves on top. The chicken breast looked good but it was hard. I mean like crunchy and gristle in some parts and then spongy in other parts. That’s the best way I can describe the texture. Once they finish the deck and patio it will be a nice spot to hang out and have a cocktail but they really need to up their game on the food.
I would recommend this place! Seated within 20 minutes Ina busy night. Great service and great food! Would recommend! Small detail of opinions not requested on a flat pizza, but otherwise great!
Good burgers….but could be better. I’m giving this place a thumbs up but it could be better. I stopped in here last Friday for a burger and a beer. The burger was tasty but I’m certain it’s not the best in town. My complaint was that I ordered grilled onions on top and it came with onion rings on top. I’m guessing that’s their version of grilled onions. The second thing was the continued lack of friendliness in Hudson. The female bartenders are not friendly at all . . . and completely lacked customer service. If they asked me if I liked my burger, I would’ve asked for grilled onions but they never came over to ask so I just ate it. The cold beer helped!
