User reviews. Have been reading the reviews, and seeing the negative reviews I wonder how many of these people actually went to the Italian House on Racine in Janesville, WI. From my count…1 – 2. Italian House is authentic Italian food, because the recipes came direct from Italy with the owner, Ed. The food is like nothing I’ve ever tasted (in a great way). the pasta and bread are sweet with the robustness of his sauces. The Portabella Ravioli is unbelievably good, & I greatly dislike ravioli of ANY kind. I don’t feel it’s fair to compare it to Olive Garden as the food styles are different, but if you like Italian, give Ed & his staff a try at Janesville’s Italian House.
Best Restaurant period. Wayyy better then all the frozen processed foods at Olive Garden (I have friends who work there and won’t touch any the food). Also the staff is very very kind and helpful. But the real winner of this place other then the incredible test of every item I’ve had, is there price! At Applebee’s you can get a very mediocre pasta with a 4 inch thing garlic bread stick. Meanwhile at the Italian House you could get any pasta you wanted with a crazy amount of garlic bread and a salad!! I’m just another customer, but trust me this place is amazing and the owner really gives back to his community. It’s a place you need to try

The owner Edmund is a very generous warming individual who has a heart for his community and his customers. My family has been going here for years ever since they first opened . This place is definitely a role model for other Restaurants!!!
Terrific!. Always GREAT food — variety is huge. We love to stop in after work for a bite and a beverage or even without the beverage for lunch. Also a great family meal for a reasonable price.
There always one of those restaurants that stay with you your whole life, and Italian house is one of them. Their food is good and well priced. If Italian house isn’t one of you favorites there’s something wrong with you!
Amazing. The food here is amazing. There is chicken, pork, vegetarian, and beef dishes. There is tons of sandwhichs to choose from. There is Gondolas, turkey, meetball, italian beef, grilled chicken, pizza bread, an som much more. The services is amazing. The wait staff is so friendly, same as the counter people. The cooks are accomidating to subsituting items. Come check them out they are adding more stufff to the dinning room to make it feel more like home.
