Used to order Pizza from them. Used to order dinners too. Have been disappointed more often than not. Ordered two dinners from them last night after staying away for awhile. Potato Wedges were awful. Tasted like old grease, ended up throwing it out. Ordered an Italian White Sauce dinner, ended up tossing it out after only eating a small portion. Spent over $30, what a waste of money. Won’t ever order from them again.

Pretty good steaks with a whole lot of nothing special. This place was recommended to a friend for their charred mammal flesh – so we went to check it out this past weekend. I will admit, I was surprised – the last time I had heard of this place many, many years ago – it was a pizza joint. I ordered the petite filet, medium rare, with an addon of fried scallops, and opted for the mashed potatoes. The meal started with a flavorful chicken dumpling soup. It wasn’t anything super special, but it was quite good. The salad came next .. which was a disappointment. A plate full of overly chopped iceburg with a tomato slice, a cucumber slice, and 5 crutons. Bland and boring. The steaks came out .. and I was pleasantly surprised. The steak itself was flavorful and tender .. and as I cut into the steak, I was rewarded with a perfect medium-rare. I was quite pleased with how well it was cooked and seasoned – one of the better filets I’ve had in a while. The potatoes on the side were bland and nothing special – no butter, no garlic, no salt .. nothing. A bowl of white .. which was helped by a quick dip into the au jus meant for the steak. They have a gravy option – next time I will try that. The scallops on the side were … well, lets say they needed some work. The cocktail sauce they served in it’s plastic dish was obviously pre-portioned out and sitting in the freezer for a while. It had the consistancy of jelly. But after a few minutes of stirring it up – it was thick, but alright – again, nothing terribly special. The scallops themselves were tender, sweet, and coated in waaay too much breading. I found them much tastier when I removed most of the breading and left it sitting on the plate. If this is any indication of how they fry most of their appetizers, will make sure to take a pass on them in the future. Dessert was a cheesecake topped with strawberries. The piece they set in front of us was large enough for at least 3 people – and the cake looked and tasted like it was of the pre-made frozen variety .. and the strawberries on top were definately of the frozen, not fresh, variety. All in all – it wasn’t a bad dinner, and I’d be willing to check them out again to see if some of the things I didn’t like were just flukes .. but I’m not impressed enough to recommend it to others. At least, not yet.
