Old school romantic date. When I think of fine dining in Kenosha, an image of Fireside Restaurant & Lounge immediately comes to mind. It is a Wisconsin supper club that features a casual and relaxed atmosphere and an extensive menu of American favorites at reasonable prices. We walked into the main chamber and saw a well-stocked bar, dimly-lit room, and assortment of neighborhood people. The hostess escorted us to a secluded non-smoking area with a romantic fireplace. We both started our meal off with a hearty cup of chicken cacciatore soup. Main entree portions were in true Wisconsin style – large! The Tuesday dinner specials made for a difficult selection, but the stuffed pepper and spaghetti was an excellent choice. I ordered a heaping helping of fettuccine Alfredo with chicken that was rich and creamy. The fresh bread alongside was a perfect compliment. Fireside Restaurant & Lounge has a thirty-year tradition in Kenosha, and we hope we can keep coming back for thirty more. It’s the perfect place to bring a hot date!
