The most consistent thing about Hillery’s is that it’s inconsistent. Ribs are always different, usually over cooked and tough or under cooked and fatty. Fries are nothing special and the coleslaw tastes like they buy it in bulk from Costco. The beef brisket is really fatty not much meat. I do not recommend wasting your money, it’s way overpriced for the quality. Establishment is small and dirty.

I have to say, I have NEVER been treated with anything but kindness by the owners or employees here! They have always been gracious, even during busy times. Now I will say sometimes they don’t answer the phone….but, they also are very busy and I know I can’t always get through on the phone. But at no time has anyone been short with me on the phone and the majority of the time I can get through. Love their food – I’m not a huge BBQ person, but I just love their BBQ chicken, with sauce on the fries too! We’ve never had a problem with getting what we ordered. Highly recommend the food, helps to plan ahead a little in case it’s a busy time.

This NC style vinegar sauce is AWESOME, and this is Chicago style mixed with soul, love it! This place knows bbq!
