Thin Crust Pizza?. Like thin crust pizza in a nice, sometimes boisterous enviroment, with a good beer or drink? Then Big Al’s is your spot. This downtown restaurant/bar is a great place for a get together at the end of the day. If you are in a suit/dress or jeans and a t-shirt, you’ll be comfortable and welcome at Big Al’s. A variety of crusts (sourdough is my fav) and great toppings make a pizza or two at Big Al’s so enjoyable. Service has always been friendly and fun over the now 30 years that I have been eating at Big Al’s…the ownership changed a few years ago, the attitude and product remains the same. If you’re staying down town, stop by for a drink and meal. They have a nice menu…but Pizza rules at Big Al’s!
Good Pizza, Big Wings. Big Al’s has some decent pizza. Good sauce, toppings, and thin crust. We also tried the buffalo wings and mozzarella sticks. The wings were some of the biggest I’ve seen. We got the wrong order (wrong sauce on the wings), but a new order was made and we weren’t charged. The cheese sticks were nothing to brag about. The service was a little on the slow side, but if you’ve read some of my other LaCrosse reviews, it seems like this is the norm for this town. I would like to try the burgers and sandwiches next time.
Great thin crust pizza. Big Al’s is THE place to get a great pizza in La Crosse. Their thin crust pizza tastes as good as it looks, I have never left hungry!
