We went in with our family and left before we even ordered due to an extremely rude employee behind the counter. He was obnoxious. We won’t be back.
Pros: healthy options, comparable prices to other coffee shops, large drink selection, super friendly, very very clean Cons: very limited food options, smallest bagels (half the size of store bought), under filling of coffee cups
Good coffee but extremely slow service and they severely under fill their coffee.
Cabin Coffee is Incredible. This is a wonderful addition to the busy downtown La Crosse landscape. The coffee is awesome and that smell of fresh roasting coffee beans is hard to resist. The staff is friendly and the drinks – both espresso and non espresso – are very tasty!
Best coffee shop in La Crosse!. Having tried all the coffee places La Crosse has to offer, Cabin Coffee is definitely my favorite. I’ve tried several of the coffee roasts, which they roast fresh in-house, and haven’t been disappointed yet; my favorite so far is the light roast Guatemalan. One thing that’s unique about them is that they’ll roast your beans while you wait. I don’t know how they make their frappes, but you don’t end up with a big, unflavored ice chunk at the bottom like you do at a lot of other places. So far, I haven’t sampled any drinks I didn’t like, but my favorites have been the chai frappe, iced Americano with half and half, turtle mocha, and the Palomino (it’s really good iced, too!). I’ve been out to lunch at Cabin Coffee with several friends who don’t like coffee, and they enjoyed the big selection of tasty non-coffee drinks, like smoothies, frappes, and Italian sodas. The food is really good, too, especially the breakfast sandwiches and the coffee cake! The place has a great atmosphere that’s upbeat and relaxed. Since I have a 4-month-old daughter, I like having a place we can take her where we feel at home and welcome. The kids’ teepee is a great touch. The staff is really friendly and helpful – if you’re not sure what you want, they’ll even help you figure it out! They encourage you to customize your own drink, which means I’ve experimented with a lot of great flavor combinations – like a dark chocolate and coconut frappe. I recommend Cabin Coffee as a wonderful place to enjoy a cup of coffee or smoothie, breakfast or lunch, and time with friends and family.
