Digger’s sting is one of the classics in La Crosse. They are supposed to serve best steaks in the area, and I had ordered ribeye – and it was just OK. Nothing special. Their garlic bread was tasty and the salad was very good. Good wine selection. The place gives an Old ambiance including the decor and lighting. Overall, a good place.
First off, the atmosphere is…different. It is sort of a throwback except that the decor is really from the 70’s. Our food was very good. The garlic toast can give you a coronary but is worth it. The ribs and steak were cooked to perfection. Nice veggie side. Years back they used to offer a Diggers Sting burger that was creative and delish. I wish that was still on the menu. UPDATE: the Diggers Sting burger is on the lunch menu
