This review is for the new location on Main Street. The new location isn’t as nice as the old location which was far was more quaint and charming. Nevertheless, the new location is more central and has ample seating space. I wasn’t in love with the decor but the food was delicious as always. Entrees come with fresh bread and spreads as well as a delicious side salad. You can’t go wrong with any of the entrees here but I especially like the linguine in white sauce with chicken and artichokes. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the La Crosse area, and a trip home is never complete without a dinner at Kate’s. krismlars.com
The food is not bad but nothing is as it’s called. The Caesar salad dressing has no anchovy or garlic. The salad itself has no Parmesan or croutons. The bruschetta is baked! The traditional carbonara has no egg! Basic food not for a foodie
My favorite restaurant in the Coulee Region.
The best restaurant in Coulee region. Best service and wonderful specials. Please keep the fresh dishes and new ideas rolling. Amazing place
Snug but cozy. Small place but comfortable, nice ambiance. Would recommend a reservation on weekend. Food here is very good, maybe a bit pricey for La Crosse. We had arguably the best waitress we have ever had. Her knowledge of the menu and wine recommendations were incredible. She also took the time to explain everything.
Wonderful cuisine, excellent service and only a block from home. Prices comparable to metro establishments and offerings are better.
Delicious. A little more expensive than most of the restaurants in La Crosse but well worth it. Even the salads and the bread with dipping oils before your meal are to die for. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and they have a pretty good wine selection. If I could afford it I would eat here twice a week. Easily my favorite place in the area.
