I loved this place – almost a 5. It has a great trendy, urban yet cozy vibe. Our server was great however, all the staff seemed to be well trained. From the bar and restaurant, you can see into the entire spotless kitchen. It opens at 5 (no reservations accepted). We got there a few minutes early and took a seat at the bar. I had a wonderful Leitz Riesling from Germany – crisp but not too sweet. For starters, we had a bowl of pozole verde. This soup has pork and chicken and is very hearty. I could have made a meal of this with some bread. Speaking of bread, This place would have gotten a 5 but I took points off because we had to request bread. It is not automatically brought to the table. Request it. This place offers half orders of pasta and my husband and I had them brought out as separate courses so we could relax. All but one of their pasta noodles are made in house. I had ricotta gnocchi in a tomato sauce. The gnocchi were soft pillows, not the dense doughy bombs some places serve. The tender ravioli stuffed with braised beef had a rich, deep flavor. No matter how full you are from your meal, you will have room to share donuts with a dollop of coffee mascarpone. Sooo light and tasty without being too sweet.
