We decided to go here when we came to the dells and noticed the German influence and thought the brats here would be good. We were not disappointed. We got the chili cheese dog, Swiss and mushroom brat, and the beer brat. They were all good and the Swiss and mushroom was great! Would definitely eat there again. Also if you like light beers, the spotted cow was good – we don’t have that type in MS.
Friendly people and great food. They even prepared food not on the menu. The waffle fries are great as are the homemade chips. We loved food.
This place was a surprise. Unassuming on the outside, first impression of the inside was that it is a little run down, but if you’re looking for a great bite to eat that is not too expensive… This is it. I ordered the blackened jalepeno burger with waffle fries. Both were really delicious and fresh. My family all ordered different things and everyone enjoyed their meal. I could really tell that the staff cared about the quality of food they were serving. I would eat there again.
It was just alright. Parmesan chips and waffle fries were yummy. Brats were ok. Nothing to get too excited about. Probably wouldn’t go back.
Historic building and great food. We ordered the sausage platter. Very yummy and large amount of food for the price. Beer selection was also decent. It was interesting to learn about the building history, which was on the menu.
This is by far the best place in Wisconsin dells to get a brat. They’re the single most delicious things I have ever eaten especially along with waffle fries. They get they’re brats from a local butcher so they’re very fresh and if you like a Johnsonville and think that’s the best brat you won’t ever want any other brat than the ones at the brat house. If your in the dells you HAVE to eat here the first day because you’ll want to go back again and again.
