I think this place really sucks. I went in at about 8 to eat with 3 others it took 15 minutes for our waitress to show up at the table ordered drinks took 25 minutes to get the drinks.we also ordered food maybe 10 minutes after ordering drinks the food came out about an hour later. Food was ok but over cooked a little so at the end of the meal because it took so long for the food and drink to come out I didn’t send the steak back because it was over cooked the explained it to the manager it took a long time and the food was not very good he didn’t care and said we ate the food so we got no discount and left very angry again never will I go back also the steak was $32.

Indy disappointed family. Restaurant was overpriced and dated. For what they are charging quality should be better. There are better options when visiting. We had a great meal at High Rock Cafe and it was nice to be in a place that didn’t look like the last time it was carpeted was 20 years ago.

Not impressed!!. The food was not good, let alone worth the $30+ per plate. The service was ok. The presentation of the mediocre food was excellent. Our family of four would have been much happier eating elsewhere!

Weird flavors and gross. Not worth the money. Food was mediocre at best and was weirdly flavored.

Fabulous service and dining. Went there on. Friday night with my family. My husband had the full rack of ribs and I had the lobster . Great lobster. I asked the waiter were the lobster was from and he said South Africa, a cold water tail. It was huge and done to perfection. The ribs had a good smokey flavor. My son had the fresh fish which was Mahi Mahi . We sat outside on their beautiful deck. Great night great dining. Can’t wait to go back.

A Great Night Out A+++. I’d heard a lot about House of Embers and particularly about their incredible ribs so I was looking forward to this experience. And I wasn’t disappointed.First a bit about the space. Several dining areas (apart from the sweet private rooms) flow from each other. In one, polished wood tables with a patina of age (in a good way) lend a warm, classy look. Another, the conservatory style room where we dined, has an airy open appeal. Lovely to have that choice to suit your mood.We skipped appetisers and got right down to what we were here for. Ribs! And they certainly lived up to the hype. Tender, succulent and glazed with a spicy sauce that wasn’t overpowering or gluggy (we had one or two too many of those on our trip around the US). The sides, a salad and stuffed sweet potato were great. And then dessert. Well, what can I say? Lemon Meringue Ice cream pie was delivered with two spoons as requested but I was soon wishing I’d had one all to myself. We were personally attended by the owner, and well looked after by a knowledgeable bartender/manager and our waitress. Excellent service!I understand that this is a restaurant with a long history and was started by the present owners’ parents. All I can say is that it is a fine heritage that is being honoured and then some by the present owners. I only hope I get the chance to visit the Dells again someday.
