We love this place we go every year with friends and family. It’s great place to take kids there’s a good chance you’ll have to wait an hour or so in the peak times of year. But a couple of us will go early and put our name in and sit at the bar for a couple of drinks and just let the others know roughly when they should come so that the kids aren’t waiting forever makes things much easier. The pizza is great and they have home made mots sticks that are great.
Having tried this place a couple times, I would have to agree that some of the other reviewers are spot on in their assessments. The place is huge, the atmosphere is family friendly with a decent bar area, and service is so-so (even when we went late and the place wasn’t busy). Don’t expect a quick meal – sit and relax because it takes a while for anyone to come around. The food is okay and overpriced in my opinion. Certainly there are other places where one can get better value for their buck (and time) if all you are looking for is a meal. If you’re looking for a place to hang out with friends and family, this is a good choice.
The decor is a must see for any Wilderness fan- stick to ordering pizza and brew (what they are known for) the Cesar salad was disappointing, bottled dressing, store bought croutons & the grilled chicken was similar to Oscar Meyer packaged- Yuck! A one stop only for us
Great service, great food – A MUST if you’re in the Dells!. Ordered the ribs and steak in our party of two – not one bit disappointed! Handcrafted sodas are refreshing…. Don’t miss out on this great lunch OR dinner stop! Family friendly!
Impressed!. We ordered from Moosejaw and picked up our order. The gentleman who took the order was very helpful and the customer service was fantastic! I have a gluten allergy and he took the time to find out the answers to my questions and in a very patient manner. Upon getting back to our hotel, I discovered the salad I had ordered included croutons even though I had specified gluten free. Once I finished my gluten free pizza which was fantastic, I called to let them know of the error. They were apologetic and offered a few different options to rectify the problem. We ended up having the salad delivered to our hotel at no additional charge. Again, the customer service was outstanding, as was the meal. We will definitely order from here again!
This was a great place to enjoy an outing with friends and family. Pizza and service was great and decor was neat. We had a large party to seat and the help got us seated within 20 minutes. Will definitely come back when we are back in town.
Very Good. Went to Moosejaw on a Friday night, with a group of nine. We were seated right away, and had our beers rather quickly. The beer was very good, I had the porter and amber, both of which I really enjoyed. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have potato pancakes with the fish fry, that is always my go to favorite, but after I tried the fries it was all better. They were excellent, and the fish was perfectly battered. It wasn’t overly greasy or too heavy on the batter. The waiter did a great job for the number of people we had. He was even able to give us all separate bills. The building itself was very nice, a great Northwoods feel, and seemed very clean. On top of that we were surprised to find out that they offer a very generous military discount. I will definitely go back next time I’m near the Dells.
