While staying at the Wilderness Hotel this weekend, we had the breakfast buffet at the Wild Canyon Cafe. We arrived around 8:30 am and must have beat the rush. Lots of places to sit.The buffet includes an omelette station, some donuts, muffins, bagels, cereal, oatmeal and toast options. There was a mountain of bacon followed by breakfast sausages, sausage chunks, pancakes, french toast, biscuits and gravy, eggs benedict, potatoes, hash-browns, eggs, etc. I had an egg benedict. The hollandiaise sauce on top had pretty much dried up and I literally was unable to cut through the English muffin using my knife and fork. It was that hard and dry. The texture of the gravy and biscuits were good but it was completely bland with no flavor. The sausage chunks were good. In general the quality was just lacking and the price was definitely high for what you get. It cost $40 w/tip for two people. The price for everything at the Wilderness Resort was high so this was not a surprise. You’re really paying for the convenience of not leaving the resort. I really don’t recommend eating here. For us, the convenience was just not worth the price and the lack of quality.
