Ardent is a unique dining experience. The diner must leave behind traditional culinary expectations in order to enjoy Ardent. No classic seafood and steaks here. Their nine course tasting dinner provided one unique plating after another, each explained by the wait staff or chef when served. The wine pairing added an interesting dimension to the experience. The venue is very small…I think I counted 7 counter seats and 6 tables. There were 3 cocktails on the menu and they offered 6 red wines and 7 white wines. We sat at the end of the counter and had a great view of the small cramped bustling food prep area. The food was superb. Portion sizes were small, but their cumulative effect was quite filling. The wait staff were very personable and attentive. The decor is rather understated. Think about what a nine course dinner should cost and you won’t be surprised when the bill arrives…this is not a place for those looking for cheap eats. All in all, it is a great dining experience and we look forward to returning.
