Expense not worthy.. Expensive for what you get. – Should list themselves as 3 1/2 dollar signs on the PR gab. the – Shrimp Broccoli Cream $19 -Plump fresh shrimp served in an herbed Alfredo sauce with steamed broccoli, only included 5 large, far from jumbo shrimp.Would the 6th shrimp have bankrupted them? And no small salad. No wounder people flock to Olive Garden. The taste & service was fine, but the cost to great for what they serve.

Shameful Service. I had heard about this place for years, but never tried it.I purchased a groupon. The Groupon was $80 worth of food for $40.I missed the fine print that said it was only good for 4 people, (my fault).I alled and asked if there was anyway I could be accomodated, I was told that they would only allow 4 people. I ended up going there for dinner on a Saturday night. The service was the poorest I’ve ever received. No smile from the server, no suggestions for dinner, and constant waiting without explination. The food was poor, watery sauce, undercooked scallops, bland, bland, bland. The best part was the bread. I was made to feel that I was an intrusion on my servers day. If you sent out a groupon, why wouldn’t you take care of the people that used It? Isn’t that why you put it out there?Very Dissapointing!

Totally Disappointing. We were looking for a new restaurant to have dinner at my last night in Milwaukee and ended up at the Pasta Tree. I sat down to a lipstick stain on my water glass (not something that I find overtly offensive but I figure it’s a fair gauge of attention to detail). The waitress was friendly and recommended a glass of wine to my significant other while I opted for the beer (the only IPA on the beer list). When the beer arrived it was a totally different IPA than the one I had ordered and was brought to the table without explanation from the waitress. The menu has a lot of classic Italian options, we ordered the caprese salad, manicotti with vegetable tomato sauce, tortellini with vodka sauce, and a side of asparagus. The food in general lacked depth in flavor and finesse, topped with too much cheese and monotone in taste. Because the tables were so close together, comfy and quaint bordering on claustrophobic, I could hear the table next to us tell the waitress they were disappointed in their tiramisu dessert and another couple disappointed when the women’s meal lagged far behind in arrival from her partners meal. Overall, the food was so forgettable that we almost left our leftovers in the car when we got home. Maybe I’d be more forgiving if the meal didn’t cost $70 (without tip). Wasn’t worth it, won’t go back.

Just the Facts…. Cozy boutique restaurant decor. We had a group of 8 people and waited over 35 min.before bread was on the table. The bread and herb butter was excellent as well as the antipasto appetizer. The main course was lacking depth of flavor. I might go back for the atmosphere with a reduced anticipation of good food.

Great place. The Pasta Tree has been consistently great for twenty-plus years. Wonderful, simple pasta dishes, friendly and attentive service, all very reasonably priced. Nice intimate atmosphere too. Definitely recommended!

Great atmosphere. The host was very polite and welcoming. Our server was exceptional, refills before I even had the chance to ask. The food was top quality and the prices aren’t bad either. We will be back again for sure.
