I went to The Pasta Tree tonight. I made the mistake of waiting till the last minute to use my Groupon, so I was expecting it to be busy with a wait. My reservation was for 8, and they sat us very promptly. Our waitress was Sam, and she was a very good server. We started out with Beef Carpaccio, and it was quite amazing! We placed our dinner order towards the end of our appetizer; I also ordered wine. It took about 10-15 minutes to get my wine, but Sam was busy and she was very sorry for the wait. About 10 more minutes goes by and I was told they ran out of scallops and I would have to switch my meal/ seafood. I decided to upgrade to lobster at no additional price. We then waited another 20 minutes or so. I didn’t think too much of it, since Italians usually plan on eating a meal for 3 hours. In America, we like to eat fast, but I still wasn’t worried. Our food came out and my friend had ordered the tortellini, which he loved! I had the scallop (but switched to lobster) artichoke cream. It was very good! It was thinner than I thought it would be, but still very delightful!.. I will definitely be going back at some point, because I really want to try the scallops, and I will need my carpaccio fix.
