We tried Pho Nam Noodle House for a late lunch Saturday afternoon. We had to park about a block away, but once we reached the restaurant it was bright, airy, and clean. We were greeted at the door and our waitress escorted us to our table and gave us menus. The menu had lots of delicious sounding options at reasonable prices. We ordered the egg rolls, papaya salad, pho, grilled rice plate and lime drink. The egg rolls were perfect; crispy, crunchy, shells wrapped around a flavorful pork filling. The papaya salad was not what I was expecting. Instead it was strips of green papaya w/slices of shrimp and pork and basil. Served with a delicious vinegar sauce this dish was also really good. My pho was served with a large portion of bean sprouts and basil. The broth didn’t have quite the complex undertones I hoped for but it was still very tasty. Some of the beef was a bit gristly. The pork on the grilled plate also contained gristle but the flavors were spot-on.Overall we really enjoyed the food. The prices were quite reasonable and the service was fine. If we’re in the area we would not hesitate to go back.
