We visited Saigon-Noodles on a wintry Sunday evening. As soon as we opened the door, the fresh spicy aromas delighted our noses. The restaurant was bright, open, and full of patrons. Our waitress brought us menus and seated us immediately.Perusing the menu I encountered numerous dishes I wanted to try. We decided to try the Vietnamese Steamed Rice Rolls and I ordered the eye-round steak, flank-steak, and meatballs. Our waitress returned momentarily to take our order, and it was not long before the appetizer arrived. The plate was covered in what was basically a light veggie salad and covered with bite sized stuffed rice rolls. The stuffing was a mixture of pork, onion, and mushrooms inside Spring-roll wrapper. Dipped in the accompanying sauce they were delicious! We cleaned the plate down to the last bean-sprout. The pho was served with the usual bean-sprouts, jalapenos, lime, and basil accoutrements. The table had soy, fish, vinegar, spicy chil and sriracha sauces available to add. The meats in the pho was perfectly cooked. The pho broth was good, but it lacked the complex depth of flavors I expect from pho.I will definitely go back again. The service was good. The price was good. And as I looked around the room I saw numerous dishes I would love to try.
Loved It!. We were in town for a weekend family getaway and had not had Vietnamese since we had moved from Minneapolis.This was outstanding. The pho broth was spot on and the noodles were tender. The protein amount was a little shy than some places but the broth made up. Our children (3 and 8) asked to try it and they ended up becoming fans.The service was wonderful as well as the atmosphere. We will be back when we are in town again.
Food was bland. The pho had no flavor at all. The service was disappointing. We had 5 different waitresses, which I do not like. How am I suppose to know who to tip? Doesn’t matter though because none of them deserve a tip. We waited for over ten minutes after we finished eating for our check and no one gave it to us so we walked up to the front to pay. Never will I come to this place again. I should’ve just gone to the thai restaurant next door.
I’m from Houston where Vietnamese noodle shops are simple, cheap and delicious. The food here was disappointing. I got the Bun, vermicelli with lemon grass beef. The beef didn’t have a good lemongrass taste and was a strange shade of rust. The vermicelli and greens were alright but the seasoning was off. Too much vinegar? Not sure. The egg rolls were nice though.It wasn’t bad, just different and not to my tastes. I have to give thumbs down because if this was my first experience with Vietnamese I would be hesitant to try it again.
Great duck soup. Love Saigon noodles. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly service and reasonable prices. The duck soup is great and my go to favorite. Only down side is that it is very popular and often has a long line but I never have had to wait too long and it is certainly worth the wait. Wish they were open Mondays as that is my day off…I always forget they are closed and am really bummed.
Extremely slow and cold service …food was pretty good ..the young guy was good but the lady was horrible ..
Incredibly authentic and delicious. Great service and clientele. Great value. Highly recommend.
