Will be dreaming of their Cuban for days to come. We visit Manitowauc from Milwaukee and have tried a lot of restaurants. Now this is going to be our go-to place.
Great food. Service with great intent. Recommend. Ryan’s on York thinks it’s a tavern that has great food judging by quirky service, but it may actually be a very good restaurant with a good bar, which might well be pondered as service culture evolves here… nice world food menu, with an aggressively replete french fry section, all prepared and plated beautifully. Three different servers attended from behind bar at arrival, but then there were none for awhile… order taken by two different people, but one of the orders didn’t ever make it to the kitchen. Also, apparently the chef is quite particular about not adjusting items to a cistomer’s request (inexplicably would not put a [very small] chicken breast sandwich-sans-bun on top of a side salad, even after pointed request, but would bring both separately and let customer do so…. hmmmm…. ok….). Despite these quirks, overall experience was good and service was friendly and earnest. You should try Ryan’s on York.
