You pay for the atmosphere/location. I had to send my steak back because it was undercooked which ive never had to do before. When they gave it back to me it was cold.
The only thing that rivaled my seafood pasta entree was the view. Really enjoyed Fresco & will be back…
Room With A View. We started with the cheddar cheese risotto cakes, which were great. I was afraid the risotto would dry out with the frying, but it was still moist, flavorful, and the bits of spicy sausage on the place provided a nice kick. Thursdays are $12 gnocchi nights, which is all my wife needed to hear. The pillowy bites were bigger a little heavier than normal, but still very tasty with the brown butter sauce (one of a couple you can choose from). The pork tenderloin was still plenty juicy (I think pork is often overcooked in restaurants, but that wasn’t the case here) and was balanced nicely with dried fruits. The decor is modern sleek and, sitting atop the Overture, the views of downtown are certainly worth the trip alone. Service was fine. Prices are a little above average for Madison.Overall, I’ve had mixed experiences at the different Food Fight restaurants, but this is one that I would visit again. Grade: B+
Lovely bartenders, menu can be limited…but ask the servers and theyll lead you to the hits and keep you away from the misses. Curren corn cake isn’t as tasty as the prior beat invention, but still a good minisnack.
Mothersday!. My son took me for dinner to the museum’s roof top Fresco Restaurant. It was a very pleasing experience. I ordered the homemade Gnocchi, the best one I ever had.Everyone else also enjoyed their meal. Lot’s of Martini drinkers, we like beer. Great outlook of the City from the Terrace. Only good things to say about the service.
Very few menu items are locally sourced. Tried three different appetizers, and were pleased with none. Salads were excellent. Entrees were quite ordinary and a bit overpriced. Overall, very poor value for dollar.
Overpriced and underwhelming. Not even the rooftop dining made this trial worthwhile, which surprised me considering the positive experiences I’ve had at other Food Fight restaurants. I will not be going back.
