I like this place, but I don’t love it. Good food every time I go, but I don’t ever beg people to go here. Im never disappointed, but Im also never overwhelmed.

My husband and I stopped at Alchemy on our way down to Rockton for our friends wedding. We always try to find an interesting place to eat when traveling… And this establishment did not disappoint!! We sat at the bar since we were kind of in a hurry and the bartender gave us excellent recommendations and superb service. The fact that even the bartender was well versed on their menu and gave us so much attention speaks volumes about the staff. We both had bloody marys that were delicious. They have a tang to them that we weren’t used to and it was a nice surprise. We both ended up going with burgers of different styles and we were fighting on which was better!!! Our conclusion was that they were the best burgers we have had in years. We will absolutely be returning to Alchemy in the future and next time we will be doing entres.. And making sure we have more time to spend there!

Tinshack Smokehouse Burger. Northstar Bison grilled and topped with smoked and carmelized onions, tomato, green peppercorn aioli, bacon, mixed greens and Wisconsin Muenster on a roll.

Meh. Just ok. Its good they have some tasty beers, but nothing stood out to me like other atwood and willy st restaurants. Just more foo foo madison Bar food.

If you’re looking for something normal, Alchemy is not the place to go, there was not a single thing that didn’t have some sort of herb or other oddly named item on it.

Always good. I’ve gone to alchemy several times now and everyone who I’ve gone with raves about it. Tasty fish fry, great sandwiches with locally sourced ingredients. I love the wasabi green beens. Good beer selection.

An amazing find!. We had been dying to try Alchemy for some time, and were not disappointed! The food was great, especially the sweet potato fries. I had a super smoky buffalo burger which was phenomenal. We also tried a delicious piece of chocolate cake that was obviously homemade- terrific! It was very reasonably priced but with quality pub food akin to Weary Traveler. I can’t wait to go back! p.s. If it’s cold out (it was below zero when we went), DRESS WARMLY or be seated in the back. The giant wooden door blew freezing air in whenever someone went out to smoke- yikes!
