Very nice atmosphere, but the service and quality of food for the price left something to be desired. I would probably look for a different venue next time I’m in Madison.
Catering Services Leave Something to be Desired. We catered Eldorado Grill for our recent wedding. The food itself was good but I would not recommend their catering services. The manager was slow respond to inquiries through out the entire process and it took forever to lock down a simple menu and price due to slow response. We never signed a contract, after myself requesting multiple time, which made me nervous they were not going to show the day of due to their aloofness. On the day of the event the catering manager through out all the left over food after specifically reviewing in the walk through that he was to keep it. When confronted about he tried to blame the miscommunication on us. Weeks after the event I still had issues getting a hold of them to rectify the situation.
Great menu and great specials! The chicken fried steak was the best I’ve had in Madison. The presentation of all of the dishes was top notch. Great experience every time.
One of my favorite places in Madison. Never had anything bad. Love the brisket and ribs.
Extremely disappointed. Probably the worst chicken fried steak since I was served road kill in Missouri quite a few years ago. Steak was tasteless and over done. Beans tasted like they just came out of a can. Gravy was served under the steak. Couldn’t find it and when I got more to put on top it was pretty tasteless. Others in our party had better food but overall were not overly enthusiastic about their meals. Ribs were dry but tender. Not what I expected.
One of Madison’s finest. I love the Eldorado Grill. My dad, who lives in Las Vegas, gets jealous, and drools every time I tell him I went there. Dinner is excellent, and their brunch is THE BEST in town, and perhaps, the best that I’ve ever had. Try the Eldorado Eggs and the Blue Corn Griddle Cakes (with chili butter and chili syrup). Do it. The live music on Sunday mornings is impeccable, as well. When Rick Bayless (Famous Chef) came here, he was extremely impressed by this place, for good reason. It’s awesome.
Amazing amazing breakfast. Blue corn pancakes and eldirado eggs are fantastic. Try the bloody murder for a smokey hot drink.
