Flavorful. I’d echo most of the points from Nichole and JM’s blog review. Grampa’s pizzas are loaded with fresh ingredients, but the mix of powerful flavors didn’t quite work for me. There’s a lot going on with each bite, but the sum was not greater than the whole of the parts. They are good pies, to be sure, but not crave worthy for me. Service and prices were fine and the atmosphere seems like a great fit for the Willy Street neighborhood. Grade: B

Outstanding customer service. I went for dinner with a friend on Monday night for beer and pizza. Our order went in just after a large group and we had to wait a bit longer than perhaps what was expected but the staff were quick to make up for it by offering us a delicious appetizer and drink on the house to make up for it. They were extremely apologetic and courteous. Following that our pizzas were very tasty. We’ll definitely be back-it’s well worth the wait for the vibe of the venue, beer selection, staff, and the quality food.

One of my new favorites! Super cute interior. We went early on a Friday with no reservation and we were seated in about 15mins. We split 2 gluten free (1 with pesto and one with brussel sprouts and bacon) pizzas and both were delicious!

Amazing pizza. Great prices. A win for Willy St.. I had not been to Grampa’s pizzeria until last night out of protest. I was in love with the little gun shop that grampa ran, but i would argue that this place is well worth the price of losing the gun store. If you have ever been to St. Paul, MN there is a little chain called Punch Pizzia. It’s awesome. they serve craft neopolitian pizzas. Grampa’s is better. Staff was very polite and accomodating. they have some amazing specialty pizzas that are resonably priced. We had an cheese board with some great WI cheese, 2 specialty pizzas, a huge dessert and 5 drinks for $66. Only downside is no liquor license so only beer and wine, but they have craft beers on tap so its ok. I will 100% be back. this is my new favorite place to take friends and family from out of town.

I’d like to say that this place is awesome, I’ve been in a few times, the Jabroni, barbarini and we had a basic pie as well with mushrooms and red peppers are all amazing. Great sauce, excellent flavors in every bite. The beer/wine list is great, a little something for everyone. The staff is awesome, they all work really well together, and have smiles on their faces, and are extremely courteous to people. Highly reccomend: Pork confitBeet or market saladBarbariniFinnochio.

Wow, I’ll be back. Repeatedly. (Already have.). Short and sweet, I really love this place. The food is excellent and the staff are delightful. Ive been there three times in the first two weeks and Ill be back often. The Pork Confit and the Beet Salad are required, to be followed up with any of the pies. Barberini and Jabroni are my favorites so far but Im not done exploring.Im not sure if its appropriate to comment on other reviews, but Im going to. Please correct me if Im falling out of bounds here. I dont understand the suggestion that the pizzas are in any way comparable to a mass produced frozen zaa and Id be interested in hearing why the reviewer thought so. To each their own, but I simply dont get it. Care to explain more?To the reviewer that felt offended about the accommodations for children and confusion regarding the name Id just say that the reference to Grampa apparently refers to the proprietors actual grandfather whos recipe the pizzas are based on. As far as to how you were treated, I certainly cant speak to that directly and Id understand a negative vibe if Id felt mistreated, but from your review I dont gather how you were offended by what you experienced. From your description it seems you were simply told about the accommodations you could be afforded. Again, simply based on what you described, Im unclear as to why you felt mistreated to that extent. Online reviews are new to me so Im not sure if this is a platform for discussion or not. Regardless, I simply had to make an account and offer my two cents. Thanks!

Already been here twice and the food is amazing! Everyone was friendly and accommodating and we will definitely be back. First trip we went in as a large group of 14. 6 adults, 8 kids all under the age of 12 and they did a fantastic job with our entire group! Second visit went as only a table of 5 and had great service and good again. We will definitely be back!
