An colorful caf in the heart of Willy street with a mind for being local and vegan. My cherry danish surpassed my expectations- warm, flaky, filling, and hit the spot! I went in a little later as the shop was winding down, but the barista was very welcoming and patient as I took my time to decide what I wanted. Alongside the VERY comfortable couches, all the patrons seemed relaxed in their late day hangout. I’d definitely be up for coming back again and trying their other bakery items. Quick note: they don’t accept cards, but an in-store ATM makes for a very convenient solution!

Pretending to be local. The coffee shop was small and quaint. The barista was quite friendly. The price was very reasonable. The coffee was not local, it was roasted by Alterra. I don’t understand why they don’t support the local community. I asked the barista about this and she stated that she gets several complaints daily about not buying local but the owner would not change. Shame on them. Alterra is owned by the international company Mars- produces M&M’s etc. The coffee was not as good as some locally roasted coffee ie. Ancora and True.

Don’t be fooled by the location and shabby yet funky interior. This is a good coffee house; thoroughly enjoyed my well made latte and my friend her tea. Though did not try the sweets they looked yummy. Whimsical colors, mismatched furnishings, the tattered couch…great little cafe to catch up with friends, study, tweet, or read.
