My wife and I are visiting the area from Nashville, TN and stumbled across this pub. Service was friendly and the wings, burger, and shepherds pie were fabulous. I’ll be back!
Incredible hidden gem. This place has always been an enjoyable experience. I recently moved away from the falls to New Berlin (border line muskego area), but made the trek back on Friday night cause my wife was craving the fish fry and I needed the burger. Of course the place was packed and we were waiting at the bar. The brewer game seemed interesting and the bartender invited us to just dine at the bar, so for the first time ever we did. We ended up staying for probably 3 hours and just enjoying a great night. Upon leaving it seemed there was something going on at their other music place across the street. There was no music, but saw a great crowd of people just hanging out. I really like the couches they put in and lamps. Looks like an enjoyable place I can take my wife for another night out. When we left there I saw Pat McCurdy is playing in a few weeks and I haven’t seen that guy in at least 20 years.
Disappointed!. I always turn to an Irish Pub for good food and drinks and have never been disappointed until now. The service was great the inside of the place was very nice, but the food was not good at all. The baked potato looked like it had been cooked and left sitting for a day or two. The chicken was hard/rubbery and tasteless along with the bland rice and bland steamed vegi’s. I ordered a salad for a replacement from the extremely apologetic waiter. The salad was good but only slightly larger than a side salad and for around $9 for a meatless salad I expected much more. It didn’t even fill me up. I may return for drinks, but the food needs some work.
Amazing Corned Beef. I am not one to usually order corned beef but when I had the Galway Pasta I was blown away, that led me to try the Reuben Sandwich and Irish Nachos on my next couple of visits which were just as good. I am a local and have made this one of my stomping ground places as I also enjoy the burgers which are only $1 on Tuesdays. I would recommend this place to anyone!
Went for lunch…little overpriced. Rueben was excellent but my fried dubliner was so soaked in grease i got sick afterwards.
Friendly service but bland corned beef. I usually eat at a place a few times before posting a review on US but I made an exception for A. J. OBradys. This Irish themed bar and restaurant had been on my wish list for almost a year before we made the trip to Menomonee Falls to give it a try. It was a Saturday afternoon; presumably the lunch crowd had dispersed so there were just a few patrons at the bar, which is located between the front door and the dining room. Although we were the only diners when we first arrived, it took an unusually long time for a server to arrive at our table but she was very welcoming and accommodating once she did. I ordered The CNC described on the menu as corned beef and cabbage (one of my favorite dishes) in an ale broth with carrots and onions. The plate arrived beautifully arranged. I was pleased to see that the vegetables looked fresh and perfectly cooked. Picture perfect! Unfortunately, instead of the ale broth that I was anticipating, the meat was covered in a thick, brown gravy that looked more suitable for a dry pot roast than a corned beef. Undeterred and ready for some tasty corned beef, I just scraped the gravy off of the meat. When the thick corned beef slices underneath the gravy were visible, I was disappointed again to see that it looked like processed or pressed meat, not fresh corned beef. Ive not seen, or tasted, corned beef like that before or since. It was an unappealing combination of bland and salty with a mealy texture, as if it had been boiled in plain water for far too long and then warmed in a microwave.Fortunately, the vegetables were as fresh and perfectly cooked as they looked. There was no added salt, pepper or any seasoning at all for that matter but I prefer vegetables au naturel so I was satisfied with that part of the dish. I could not, however, eat the meat. Our server noticed and asked if I would like something else but I declined. If an Irish pub & grill cant serve up a good corned beef, it makes me wary of ordering anything else. My husband ordered a burger and a non-alcohol beer. He was driving. The burger was unremarkable and the NA beer was flat, as if it had been around too long. I had hoped to return to try another dish but it just isnt worth the drive from Milwaukee. If you live in the area, the bar looks well stocked (just dont order an NA) and the service was friendly so you might want to give it a go. Its just not worth a drive from Milwaukee, particularly for corned beef and cabbage. There are too many restaurants in town that serve a much better CNC dinner.
Average at best. I stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Since it was irish I decided to have the corned beef hash with poached eggs. The eggs were ordered soft and came out hard, the waitress did offer to change them. It was just a very average breakfast. The dining areas were busy as was the bar. If you are looking for breakfast this is probably not the spot to try.
