Awful! Awful! Awful! (atmosphere, food, management). Valentine’s Day 2015: We were seated at a table, not in the main dining room, but in one of several rooms off to the side. The light was far too bright to relax. The menu was extremely limited and very overpriced, as was the wine list. The salad arrived wilted. We both ordered the scallops which were barely warm and chewy because the side muscles had not been properly trimmed. The Yukon gold potato pancake actually consisted of two small burned crispy hashbrowns. It was the worst meal we’ve ever had. We felt very sorry for our waitress, who appeared embarrassed, so we left her a 20% gratuity regardless. It was a waste of $110.43. We will never go back there. Jeff & PaulaBelgium, WI
Rudeness prevails. This restaurant is listed on my worksite website. I made a reservation to check it out, was seated at a table and then approached by I assume the manager who wanted to make it clear to me I should not expect a discount. I was there to try out the food and yes, the restaurant was listed on the website as offering staff and faculty a 20% discount. I did not make that part up. The man could not have been more rude. Seriously, sir, I have enough money to pay for my own dinner and drinks. You need to take it down from the website yourself.
Poor Service. As a resident of Mequon…this was my first visit to Nine’s after searching online for a nice local restaurant to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. We decided to check it out in advance of that date and went on Thursday, August 14 for drinks and horderves. We were told to select our table on the sundeck. We sat at a table close to the entrance of the sundeck and close to the bar. We were given glasses of water and then proceeded to wait for our waitress. We waited and waited and waited as we watched other waitresses walk by with not so much as a glance at us sitting there waiting. Finally after 40 minutes of being ignored…My spouse approached a waitress and informed her that we have been waiting for 40 minutes and no one has come to take our order. She said our waitress was doing something else and that she would take our order. Well, needless to say…this was unacceptable given the upscale beautiful establishment that Nine’s is. I went online and noticed there were some other complaints similar to mine regarding poor service. In an establishment as this, this should NEVER happen. If the waitress was busy or called away….then someone else should have covered her area and at the very least checked in with us. That didn’t happen. Needless to say, we will not be returning for our anniversary dinner in August. This is basically a sign of poor management and an establishment that just doesn’t care….given there were other complaints online about poor service. I wonder if the owners ever bother to even read the poor reviews as well as the good ones and appropriately meet with your wait staff to ensure that not just members….but that your new visitors are serviced in a timely manner. That’s what an establishment THAT CARED would do.
I ate here twice since the menu changed and the food is delicious and the service is top notch, I highly recommend The Nine’s.
Best restaurant in the area!! We went for dinner the other night found out they just launched a new menu. It was amazing!! Service was wonderful, and very knowledgeable. Wine list was amazing Silver Oak by the glass!!! Food was fantastic. Manager touching every table , made us feel like we were members of the club! Will be back very often. Love what they did!
It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our food. Pretty sure the flat bread pizza was a no name frozen pizza. Steak was under cooked, manager was a nob and poor waitress felt so bad for her, she must have had all the tables. My salmon was good at least… Haha never coming back
I had the tenderloin, it was good but the piece was so small that it was almost comical.
