The Ribs Are Great ! the Atmosphere is Fun and Good Hearted. It’s a Good Time When You Can See and Hang Out with Old Friends. The Ribs were tender, tasted great & had just the right amount of seasoning.

We had our annual work event this past weekend on a super busy Saturday and had a fabulous time. They even set up a projector TV for us to watch our beloved badger bb team beat Iowa! One reviewer mentioned that we were sitting in the dark but on a sunny winter day we covered the window and turned off the lights to see the game. They eve Ordered a special beer for us to have on tap for our event! Now that’s customer service. We eat lunch there often for their awesome jambalaya too. Keep up the good work and we will be back.25 Feb, 2014Our group had our annual gathering on a busy Saturday this past weekend and as usual we had a fabulous time. The place was super busy but all our needs were attended to. They even set up a projector TV for us to watch our beloved badger Bb team beat Iowa! Another reviewer mentioned we were sitting in the dark but with the bright sunny skies we chose to cover the windows and turn off the lights! They ordered a special tap beer just for our event! Now that’s customer service! We dine for lunch quite often for the awesome jambalaya too. Keep up the good work. We will be back!

Not worth the trip. We had a coupon for the Bourbon Street Grille, so we decided to try it out on a Friday night. Walking in, it was right away not what I expected, as you enter in a nondescript entryway and have to walk up some stairs and meander around to the restaurant entrance. We opted to sit in the dining room, but the entire place was empty at 5:15pm on a Friday, which was not a good sign. Our waiter was friendly and quickly got us our drinks and took our order. We tried the New Awlins Wrap and the Louisiana Strudel. Neither was memorable. In fact, the Strudel was less than appetizing, with a congealed Cajun cream sauce on the side of a bland Phyllis pocket with some bland filling. The appetizers (alligator bites and jalapeo bites) were also nothing special. Some of the wait staff seemed quite unprofessional and rude to other customers as well. I definitely will not go back. Boring, low quality food and mediocre service.

Birthday get together gone bad. I am one who like to try new places to eat. A group of 8-10 got together for a birthday. We arrived around 6pm on a weeknight. Not to many people there. We had a seat out on the patio. Great view. I wish i could say anything else positive about the experience. Took about 20 min to get a iced tea and lemonade. Two people in my party ordered the same item. They came out looking nothing close to one another. The wait staff seemed snippy and many dishes were sent back to the kitchen. This coming from a group of people not picky about food. I will not go back there for any reason. Food tasted and looked microwaved, industrial out of a can or frozen box dinner. I am sad to say I went home and ordered Pizza Hut……. To bad because it is a great location and nice view. I would not only not recommend friends visit here but I would tell them don’t go!!

First off, the food is good and the outdoor seating provides a nice ambiance. However, the problem is getting a seat. We were told it was a 45 minute wait for outside and 15 min for inside seating. We walked in and there were around 5 open tables inside (really?…15 min. ) we opted for the outdoor seating and sat at the bar waiting for a free table. We waited the full 45 minutes which would have been fine if there wasn’t 5 open tables on the patio. We were not the only ones irritated, there were around 5 other couples that felt the same way. I’ve been to this restraurant probably a dozen times and the chances are 50/50 that you will get good service. It’s a shame too, they have decent food and a nice location right on the river…

One more thing…. Their prices are nowhere near what this site says… The most expensive thing on their menu was a steak for $19… Most things were between $8 and $1407 May, 2011Good changes!. I will admit, this restaurant has been a hit or miss in the past! I also had a coupon like the other reviewer. However, on a recent evening my husband and I stopped for drinks and food. The bartender Thomas was very friendly and knew his stuff! If anyone needs a drink or beer recommendation, this is the guy to ask! My husband enjoyed an Abita beer on tap and Thomas made a fantastic bloody mary for myself. Once we were sat by the window in the bar, our server was quick to greet us. She recommended the crab dip as an appetizer. It was served HOT with chips and toasted garlic bread. This dish is AWESOME! It wasn’t too cheesy or too crabby either. For dinner my husband had the blackened catifsh and I had the Louisianna Strudel. The catfish was served with two plump filets that were blackened but not too salty. His meal came with sauteed vegetables and he also got a salad. My strudel was a pastry type thing filled with rice, cheese, chicken and spicy sausage. SO GOOD! Again, the flavors were not too rich and it tasted great. We told our server about our experiences in the past and she said she understood and apologized for those times. The manager also came out and talked to us, told us that they were making some changes to the menu and the staff. It’s obvious that this has helped!I can’t wait to go back!

Very Poor Communications & Service. I’ve been here and their food is very average, but I had a coupon for the restaurant that I wanted to use. I checked their website which posts that they serve food until 10 PM. I didn’t want to take a chance so I called and spoke to the hostess the day before we went and was told that they served food until 10 PM during the week. We went there for dinner the following evening at 9:15 PM and were told that the kitchen had closed at 9 PM. My husband works evenings which is why we were dining later. The hostesss/bartender was very apologetic and said they would call me the following day and send a gift certificate to compensate us. Did they call, did they send a gift certificate? NO. I will not be patronizing them again even though for us they are a neighborhood restaurant.
