Don’t eat here. Unfortunately, there is only one place in Madison that has sushi available for delivery. Due to this fact, we’ve become very familiar with Edo Garden. The food is sub par and not sushi worthy. Furthermore, the fact that they’re the only delivery sushi place forces the rest with us with poor service and more poor sushi. Do not, and I mean DO NOT order from here online. Due to the fact that there is no other place in our area, I’ve made several exceptions for this place. Time after time they meet far under my expectations. The worste part is that they pretend to not speak English when faced with the reality that their food and service suck. Please again.. for the safety of your wallet and your large intestine, stay far far awayl
I used to LOVE this place but the last two times my food was horrible! My raw sushi didn’t seem sushi grade at all. Also the time before last it too 2 hours to order and get food when they only had 4 tables! I’m very sad that I’ll no longer be returning to the Monona Edos.

Best hibachi restaurant in madison. Looks like the restaurant have new owner now .I was there with my wife for her birthday.they gave her a birthday hat ,that was really nice.the hibachi was the best in madison .I love the miso sauce ,so good.really good sushi . good service.
Falls short. Good service and a great layout. Much potential, but falls short. Our lunch the other day was simply off. The miso soup was luke warm and had a fishy odor and taste. The salad was okay, but overdressed with a house ginger dressing that was quite tasty. My companion had a chicken stir fry that he enjoyed but said he’s had better at many local restaurants. I had 3 different rolls, only one of which was good – the cucumber. The crab/avacodo and the tuna rolls both had a fishy taste, a huge turn off when eating raw fish. I left 5 of the 6 small portions of tuna on the plate. We will go back when the grill is open to sample something but will not go back for sushi. At this point, I cannot recommend the EDO Garden.
Decent sushi for a decent price. Place looks clean and the service is great!
Sad to say I do not like it, since it has potential with all the variety it offers. Food is served promptly, politely and it is good value for the $. Never got sick from it, but never been wowed. Especially the sushi and bento boxes leave a LOT to desire. I still eat there with friends who like it, but not a resto that I crave or seek out. Madison offers much better food, trust me.
