Normally I like Java Cat, but …. I don’t know what was up today. Ordered sandwiches to go, and they were bagged, wrapped only in tissue squares so they leaked all over the place. I mean the squares that bakeries use to pick up individual items hygienically … huh? Plus I ordered the chicken salad melt and got home to find it was, um, chicken of the sea, a.k.a. tuna. Good thing I actually like tuna and I’m not allergic.
I went to Java Cat for the first time today. I walked in and noticed all of the cat decor. It was nice and a bit funky, but not overwhelming. I decided to try a pumpkin pie mocha. The service was speedy and the two youngsters behind the counter were very friendly. The mocha was perfect in flavor and temperature. I was able to sip it right away without burning myself. My friend and I sat for nearly four hours and chatted. There was always at least one other table free, so we didn’t feel too bad about Bogarting the table. I wish I had tried something out of the bakery case… It all looked so good and I was surprised at the large variety. Definitely stop here and give this place a try. My only negatives here were that the parking lot and stalls were quite small, but seemed to get the job done. Also, the stools for the high top tables and computer stations are uncomfortable and I kept sliding off of them. On a good note, there IS a drive thru window for on-the-go Joe.
