Don't bother. Food is marginal and service is terrible. The wouldn't even honor a 50.00 gift card from their own restaurant. Go to Luigis in Menasha, …

Terrible Service–from hostess to waitress. We waited 2 hours at the bar and despite visiting the hostess several times to check on our status, were shocked to discover on our last inquiry that our name had been crossed off the list! The hostess lied to cover her tracks. After finally being seated (at one of the poorest tables in the restaurant), our server was as terrible as had been the hostess. Our waterglasses stood empty. The waitress served incorrect drinks to members of our party. No attempt was made to make amends for what had already been a terrible evening. Passable food only barely made the trip to Cannova’s vaguely worthwhile.
Great atmosphere…jazz was really great..service Very good…food was not enjoyable…it was busy and it tasted like it…
No Longer a Good Place to Eat. For years I enjoyed dining at Cannova’s and while at times the service was slow, the food was always worth the wait. Last night I ate there with friends and the service and food were horrible. For the 4th time in 35 years of eating out I return my dish and wanted nothing else. Our server was truly off the mark. Our drink order was not taken until after 15 minutes of sitting at the table, specials were never announced, it took almost an hour for him to ask for our order, appetizers appeared at random and mostly cold, the salads came after 1 1/2 hours and to top it off, the entree I ordered (port tenderloins) was bland and soaked in olive oil. I won’t even tell you what I think of the risotto or what Cannova’s sells as risotto. I sent it back after two bites and refused anything else as I did not want to have to wait another 2 hours for service. Several of my friends also claimed the food was OK but not what is was.Through out the meal, no one ever re-filled our water (I had to go to the service cart and get water for my friends since the bus people and server did not), bread was never bought to the table, we seldom saw a our server, it took almost 25 minutes to pay our bill and a request to see the manager was denied but the manager.Cannova’s is no longer a great place to spend time or spend your money on. We ahd bought friends from out of country here to try a great local place but instead only ended up showing them a sample of terrible service and sub-par food. It is truly unfortunate that Cannova’s has become what it is. The death of another once great restaurant.
Gift certificates. I have heard so much about this place! I want to go to with my family. Do they offer gift certificates? Thanks!
Delightful!. We met with friends at Cannova’s for the first time and loved their Sicilian pizza!! Has a very nice atmosphere! Live music was great feel. It was worth the trip from Appleton.
New chef in town!. I have always loved Cannovas but now there is a new executive chef Mike Balistrieri, you need to check out his new dishes, they are interesting and very good- I love the new direction Cannovas is taking under his lead. I would recommend this place
Total letdown. We went in and was told there would be a 45 minute wait. A little long, but fine because it was a Saturday night. We sat at the bar where we were stiffed TWICE (two people in our group gave the bartender a $20 bill, both times he ‘thought’ it was a $10 and gave us the wrong change). We waited just over 90 minutes for our table, and when we finally did sit down, the waiter came to us TWENTY minutes later. I ordered my drink and he brought it wrong, but didn’t come back for another 20 minutes so we had to go up to the bar to fix it. When he came to take our order he was the rudest person any of us have ever encountered. Then we waited another 25 minutes after our plates were cleared just to get the bill. If the food were out of this world, I’m sure we could’ve forgiven some of this. But it was mediocre, at best. OH! And because we had a larger group, an 18% gratuity was automatically added to our bill, so we couldn’t change his tip even if we wanted to. When we asked to speak to the manager, he had conveniently left the restaurant at 8 p.m. on a busy Saturday night. Hm. I will not go back. None of us will. When you pay what you do there for a night out AND an experience, you expect at least your waiter to be kind (said waiter’s name was Bart, by the way). Consider this a warning if you’re thinking of going!
