Dependable place for mexican food. Good beer choices. Extensive menu selections. Tasty nachos while waiting for your order. Love their enchilada rancheros. Decor is very nice. Bar area is huge. Servers are college kids and are very friendly. I always clme here for my mexican craving whenever I am in the La Crosse area.

I’m a fan of Mexican and Manny’s is one of my favorite Mexican places. The seafood fajitas were a great choice and have liked the enchiladas also.

Disappointed, entry doors and waitingbench were in bad shape. Service was rushed even though not full.Coconut shrimp arrived hot and tasty. My burrito (only two choices) arrived warm the beef was plentiful and quite good. The beans looked and tasted like Campbell’s pork & beans. The bottom of the tortilla was soggy and the cheese was nowhere to be found. The vegetables were cold and hard, not steamed. Ordered quest for an apprizer, again barely warn and served in some type of stone urn. I kept wondering how they could hygenically clean it — gross! Will not be in a hurry to go again.

Really nice atmosphere and the food is pretty to look at. However it doesn’t taste good. If it weren’t for the sauce on top of the burrito I would have sent it back. The sauce was great but if that’s the only thing holding the dish together you should pass. My buddy had the asada tacos and he said they were horrible. Let this one pass you by and save your cash for Taco Bell.

Our waiter kind of tried, and the kitchen was horribly slow. 20 minutes for appetizers (nachos) and over 40 minutes to get our entree. It was a slow night too. One section was closed and our section was half full. The margaritas were all ice and no tequila/mixer. Basically 4 oz of fluid in 10 oz of ice. Prices seemed high too for what we got. We were also given a bad table in a back corner. Kind of odd for a place with over half the tables empty.

Super seafood stew and grilled shrimp salad are two of our favorites accompanied by their delicious golden margaritas!

Wanted to like it. Manny’s was recommended by an employee at the hotel at which we were staying. We were dissuaded from going to other, closer Mexican restaurants because we were told that Manny’s had better food and the service was much better. As it was a Friday evening, I was pleasantly surprised that Manny’s was not too busy, and we were able to get a table right away. Unfortunately, that was the last pleasant surprise of the evening. Our dining experience was completely not up to our expectations. The first issue dealt with the poor service of our waitress. Any time I need to ask another server to ask our waitress to stop by, that’s a problem. I needed to do that twice. Asking for a wedge of lemon with our water; which we never received, a water refill, ordering dinner or another drink, or trying to obtain our check at the end of our dinner should not be something for which we should have to wait or need support from other wait staff. The second issue that upset me was in ordering drinks. We did not have a drink menu from which to order, so my wife and I ordered regular margaritas. Asked if we wanted them large, we said yes. I mean, how expensive would simple rail margaritas be? Well, I found out that when we received the bill that they were $13 each; for rail margaritas that tasted like rail margaritas. If that is the regular price for regular rail margaritas, I would hate to see the price for premium margaritas! Had we known that regular margaritas were $13 each, we would not have ordered them; much less two each. Our total time at Manny’s was nearly two hours; much of which was spent waiting for service. Our dinner itself, which consisted of tacos and an enchilada, took nearly 45 minutes to arrive. We had to ask another server to ask our server where our dinner was. The dinner itself was nothing special. Average at best.I notified the owner of this experience, who said he would investigate and get back to me. After one month, no word; hense the reason for this now public review.
