Love it!. This is my favorite place to go in Oshkosh. Outstanding decor and views of the river. Best cheese curds I’ve ever had. Good quality of food for the amount of money. Great place for a nice night out on a college budget.
Nice atmosphere, thumbs down on food. The atmosphere is great, however the food is certainly lacking. I’ve been there several times and keep hoping the food gets better but it hasn’t. I attend EAA Hops & Props every year, and the one year I decided to start going VIP, Becket’s was the host for dinner. Haven’t gone VIP ever since. They seem to just put too much effort into food presentation, they forget about the preparation.I’ll give it another year before going back, unless I see/hear positive reviews on the food.
Nice view of the river but we were there for lunch and the techno style music was distracting, not what I’d choose for a leisurely lunch. Felt more like a cocktail hour genre. Husbands mac and cheese was good with a generous portion but my pork sandwich left much to be desired. Pork was touch and dry, onion tangles were underdone, greasy and soggy. Bun was hard. Probably wouldn’t go back if I travel to Oshkosh again.
My husband and I went to Becket’s for his birthday. I was worried about slow service because of some of the previous reviews, but we had a great waitress – very friendly and answered all our questions. The food came quickly, and everything was tasty. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer – well cooked with a nice side sauce. My husband had the ribs. They fell off the bone – very juicy and tender! I had the walnut burger. It had great texture and flavor! I didn’t miss the meat. We had vanilla creme brle for dessert. It held it’s own. We’ll definitely be back to try some of the other menu items and hopefully take advantage of some of the live music. We loved the ambiance, and live music would make it even better! We’re glad to have another restaurant to add to our repertoire.
Poor service and bad food!. We have eaten at Becket’s a few time and the service is always poor and the food has been terrible! We will never set foot in there again!
Service – always friendly, courteous, attentive. atmosphere – classy, welcoming, pleasing to the eye. not a bad seat in the house. food – always delicious. my husband & i love the various dishes we’ve tried, & we like to try new items on the menu. our personal faves include the crab cakes, salmon salad, walnut burger (or any burger), & the surf & turf. highly recommended dining establishment in oshkosh!
