Alright. It’s nothing special, I went there for happy hour and apps, I was not satisfied with the service or the food for the price I paid; the only good thing they have is outdoor seating but I can get that with better service at Peabodys or even Kellys Bar. I will not be returning and suggesting all of my colleges not to go there, I think the breakdown there is from management not caring enough about their jobs.

Good Fish Tacos. We recently enjoyed the Thursday night fish taco special and everything was good. I can’t say it was the best fish taco I’ve had in my life but it was pretty good. The tilapia was much better than expected. The bartender was our waiter and was very attentive without being overbearing. I was a little reluctant to trying out Dockside because of the low rating but the recent reviews suggested it had improved. We’ll definitely be back.

Great Fish Fry. We were a bit reluctant to try the Dockside after having bad experiences with the restaurant that was previously located there but, we were pleasantly surprised. Most of our party (8 people) had the fish fry. (It was Friday night in Wisconsin after all.) We all agreed-it was great. Fries and fish were both a little different than the usual run of the mill you get at most fish fries. An over all great experience. The one critique I have is that the patio was pretty noisy. Not sure how they can remedy this though. Give this restaurant a try if you haven’t since the new management took over!

Had a great time. Stumbled across this place and so glad we did. Am surprised at the low ratings.I found the restaurant to be very well presented, the service and quality of food were also excellent. This is a great place to eat, relax and enjoy a WI summer afternoon/evening. Having folks moore their boatsright up to the restaurant was pretty cool.

Sooo much better now. Just had awful, awful experiences when this place was the Boatyard (once our waitress left for the day immediately after we ordered and we waited a good 40 minutes before someone told us she had gone) but I decided to give it a try now that it had changed hands. For starters, they really did a nice job of renovating the inside of the restaurant; everything is dedicated to pleasure boating and the bar is especially impressive. Secondly, the difference in the staffing is practically night and day. Our waitress (no waiters apparently) was bubbly without being annoying, made sure that our drinks were full and seemed to know the menu very well (I hate it when restaurants don’t train their staff). The food was ok, nothing to write home about and it was a tad pricey but if you’re not prepared to spend a couple dollars on an evening, you should probably stay home anyway. They also had a decent selection of beers on tap, including a couple of my Fox River Brewing Co. fav’s and the patio on the river provided a nice change of pace from sitting inside all the time. Definitely check it out but make sure you go during happy hour for half-priced drinks!

Try the shrimp!. Went with a girlfriend for some drinks and apps. I used to work at Boatyard and loved it there, but didn’t stay when it was turned over to new management. The service was so plain and boring, you could see they weren’t enjoying their lives….. I can’t have a good time when I know my waitress isn’t either. I guess that’s why I’ve been in customer service so long.

Looks to have improved with new ownership. I have been to Dockside twice since it changed hands and was renamed (formally the Boatyard Bar and Grill). The Boatyard was awful, awful food. The Dockside however I was fairly impressed with. I would go back again for sure. The fries are amazingly delicious. A great place for future happy hours and business lunches!
