We’ve been to this Golden Corral a number of times in a group after AirVenture and it’s always been pretty good. It’s not a favorite of some of the group since it’s admittedly not a-grade food, but for the price you can’t beat the variety, portions, and reasonably decent quality of the food. Surprisingly the steak is a standout.The Oshkosh location is among one of the better Golden Corrals in the system in our experience.
Always make you wait for steak. Golden Corral pulls the same crap every time I go. They always make you wait for steak even when it’s clearly done. They pull this to make you fill up on other less expensive food because your hungrey and don’t want to wait around. This is a consistent tactic they use to reduce cost. I ate there on 12/21/14 and sure enough they were did the same thing. This place is a rip off. Don’t waste your money.
I Wanted to Like This Place… Use Caution…. At 715 pm, food was stale and 5 empty tables had dirty dishes piled on them. Those plates were not cleared for 25 minutes. Corn pudding, meatloaf, and a few other items were crusty leftovers. They wouldn’t be touched because of their appearance, but because the pan had not been emptied of food, no fresh, uncrusted food was set out. Macaroni and cheese is over watered and more like a cheese soup with macaroni. Steak is nice, but over salted. No vanilla ice cream because machine was down. Guess I’m willing to pay the money they ask when they have the food I’m paying for. They don’t usually. Things have changed there. Food quality seems to have gone down in some cases. Peach cobbler dessert tastes like chemicals. Whipped topping is white fluff without any cream flavor, at all. I suppose their corporate office has dictated their menu,but I don’t enjoy it now.UPDATE: Dirty DishesWent here again Feb 2014 because a friend wanted to go. I went through 17 dirty plates, yes actually 17, before taking my shirt and wiping off the best one I could find. Just wipe your hand over your plate before you load up. You’ll find the chunks. Gross.
Trough. Wal-mart shoppers unite. I’ll vote for succession and eat anywhere else.
Cheap food, cafeteria style. The food is low quality and the atmosphere is awful. I start to feel anxious to leave as soon as the bread is gone. I’ve sworn I’ll never go back.
Gross. Cattle feed- the food is frozen and cheap crap, and the meat is fatty. The only thing good they have their are the rolls. Not to mention, I dont even eat 10.00 worth of food there! PRICEY for cheap crap
