Nice hibachi peformance but food is bad. The taste is not good, vegetables are overcooked.
Dissapointed!!. The food left much to be desired. Ambiance was very good and the volcano cocktail was good.
Nakashima is lame. Overpriced for what it is. i don’t mind paying a little more for good hibachi and sushi, but this place is not so great. the atmosphere is lovely, but our hibachi cook was like a burnout high-school dropout who could barely cook meat. sushi was decent but overpriced – like $7 for one piece of sashimi. the bar looks awesome though, it’s decorated with an underwater theme. come for a drink and a snack, but don’t waste your time with the hibachi.
It’s a great place.the wait was only about 20 minutes on a Friday night.the staff was friendly and the food was great.
Good hibachi. Living near Chicago we have many good hibachi and sushi choices. Was surprised at the high quality food and service here, for 60% of what you pay in the Chicago area. Only thing they could improve, would be to add a teriyaki sauce and spicy garlic sauce option, which goes great with some fish and steak, like most places near Chicago offer.
Sushi. This is the best sushi in the valley! We love the tuna gaucomole also. We enjoy the bartenders and cooks also – they make it such a personal visit every time.
Average. Their sushi is nothing special, the rolls were rolled loosely and falling apart. Not bad, not particularly good.
