  Great view! Restaurant was recommended for the view. The seafood chowder had great flavor. The sauted scallops were very oily. I thought it was a little over priced at $21 for the portion size that I received.

  We decided to drive up to Port Washington from Milwaukee since it was a beautiful winter weekend. We were there in time for an early supper and wanted seafood. Our best option for seafood seemed to be Newport Shores. It is located right on the water’s edge and has a great view of the lake. The front room which has a view of the lake and a large bar which takes up most of the room was packed. Most of the guests seemed to be retired age and primarily there to drink. There is also a back room with no view which was empty. The hostess was able to get us into a table for two with a view. The downside was there was something sticky on my chair and the tables are definitely crowded together.Our waitress showed up after a few minutes. She seemed efficient albeit a little frazzled. We both ordered the seafood platter which includes fried shrimp, scallops and perch or walleye. It’s served with a roll, potato or rice and cole-slaw. The fried foods were all fine, the potato was on the small side and would have been enhanced with chives, the slaw was fine. The prices were definitely reasonable and that includes the drink prices. Great view, reasonable prices, mediocre food. If friends wanted to eat here, I would go, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here.
