Was told my food would be ready in 20 minutes got there at 25 minutes and still was not done. Waited another 45 minutes and then got my chicken home only to find out half of it wasn’t even done. Will never go back again!!!!!
Service is slipping.. Gosse’s is clean and still serves great food and the best steak sandwich around but the service is suffering. Matt is great behind the bar but if your sitting at tables or in the dining area the waitresses appear to be very short handed and some of them completely unattentive. More often than not its hard to even get a refill of soda or another beer with your meal so drink slowly. The wait staff is not what it used to be.
Devilishly delicious. A forewarning, this place is not for the health conscious. That said the food here is pretty great. I ordered the steak sandwich and some broasted potatoes. The broasted potatoes are literally a fully potato cut into quarters with a crinkle cutter. The sandwich came sheboygan style, on a hard roll with a big spread of butter. Both things were delicious and service was friendly, the meal was a little over $8. I would recommend it.
Best Sandwiches Ever. You cannot beat Gosse’s for value and quality of food. By far the best steak sandwich anywhere. Served on a real Sheboygan hard roll oozing with butter.Broasted chicken is OUTSTANDING!Not a bad sandwich on the menu. But the best feature of Gosse’s is the desserts. Made from scratch by the owner Roger himself . Not a bad choice on the dessert menu.Highly recommend the Poppyseed Torte. Light and fluffy…only my sister can make better. Matt behind the bar is amazing. Very outgoing and quick to get you another beer or mixed drink. Staff is outstanding. Always friendly and on top of orders.Not a bad word at all about this.BUT…bring your cash. Gosse’s does not take credit cards or checks. ATM on site.
Fabulous. The broasted chicken and broasted potatoes are the best! And the place is so clean and the staff so friendly that it is a must stop at place when I am in town. Being from Chicago, the greatest food town in the world, I know good food and this is it!! Everything is good. My aunt loves the pork chop sandwich. And their cole slaw is the best !
